COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region hosted its annual Turkey Trot 5K race Thursday morning.

The event kicked off at the Briargate YMCA, located at 4025 Family Place, Colorado Springs. The Kids’ Tiny Trot started at 8:15 a.m., and the 5K began at 9 a.m.

The annual Thanksgiving Day race also doubles as a fundraiser to provide scholarships for local families and ensure access to YMCA programs.
