And yet Jamieson has already scored five goals this fall, the most of any freshman point-patroller in the NCAA.
“Well, I don’t blame you for lumping me in like that,” Jamieson said with a laugh, not the least bit insulted by a reporter’s admission that he wasn’t expecting his stat-sheet would show a handful of goals and nine points through 14 outings as a rookie with the University of Denver Pioneers. “That other stuff is kind of the staple of my game. That’s kind of my identity. But being able to sprinkle in some offence, that’s part of it too. That’s something I look to do.”
