LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. — A jury took less than an hour to convict a 24-year-old man in a Lexington County murder. A judge just announced that he will spend the rest of his life in prison.
The 11th Circuit Solicitor's Office announced on Wednesday that Allon T. Adams of Leesville has been convicted and sentenced on charges of murder, armed robbery, criminal conspiracy and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
The charges are tied to the 2023 death of 35-year-old Tony Etheredge, who was found dead in a field after being reported missing by his family . Prosecutors said Etheredge was lured by a female accomplice of Adams, whom the two intended to rob and take his 2014 Toyota Tacoma.
Investigators said Etheredge had just left work and was directed to an isolated
