The Boston Red Sox seem poised to make another postseason run next year. They began the offseason with a bang as it was announced they had traded for starting pitcher Sonny Gray from the St. Louis Cardinals.
Gray is going to be a solid addition to a rotation that needed another arm. But the Red Sox need to make another move or two in free agency to bolster their roster even more.
Jon Heyman of the New York Post recently reported that the Red Sox were targeting a new contract with star infielder Alex Bregman in free agency.
"The Red Sox are considering signing up to two of these five big-time lineup enhancements: uberpopular Kyle Schwarber, plus Pete Alonso, Kazuma Okamoto and J.T. Realmuto, as well as last winter’s big pickup Alex Bregman," Heyman wrote. "With the quarter-billion doll
