Snow and high winds across Michigan haven't slowed for the holiday , but are expected to decrease over the weekend for some parts of the state, the National Weather Service reported Thursday.
Scattered snow showers are expected Thursday and the weekend in Southeast Michigan, the NWS Detroit reported. Washtenaw, Lenawee and Monroe counties are expected to see a light dusting of less than one inch of snow coupled with strong winds.
Towards the thumb, however, additional inches of snow are expected. Much of Huron County is expected to get 1-2 inches, and Sanilac County is expecting 2-4 inches over the next few days.
