Police remain on Park Road in Werrington

Five people - including a boy - have been arrested as part of a major murder investigation after a man in his 50s was found dead in a quiet cul-de-sac. Emergency crews rushed Park Avenue in Werrington, Staffordshire, late yesterday evening (November 26).

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, about five miles east of Stoke-on-Trent, at approximately 9pm on Wednesday. Police officers erected a substantial cordon along nearby Park Road, with blue tarpaulin erected across the front of a property.

Detectives have subsequently detained five suspects, StokeonTrent Live reports . Two men aged 31, a 29-year-old man, a 22-year-old woman, and a boy, all from the Stoke-on-Trent area, have been held on suspicion of murder . View 2 Images
