Last week in the semistate championship, Bishop Luers brought a record-breaking season by Knox quarterback Myles McLaughlin to a screeching halt.

The senior came into last Friday's game on pace to break the national career rushing record of 12,124 yards. But instead of gaining the 365 rushing yards he needed to tie the record – or earning a victory that would've given him another game to do so – the Knights shut down McLaughlin, who finished with 78 rushing yards in a 35-0 loss.

The Knights' reward for spoiling a potentially historic night is a state finals matchup another juggernaut offense, one that has received less attention on the national stage but could be even more difficult to deal with than McLaughlin.
