NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Nashville woman woke up to a man trying to get into her home Tuesday night, according to an arrest affidavit.

The Metro Nashville Police Department said the man, later identified as Amarion Shannon, was trying to pull the screen off a first-floor window.

The woman inside the home made eye contact with Shannon, and he ran off, according to the affidavit.

Police later found Shannon standing in a creek behind the house.

Shannon was charged with attempted aggravated burglary.
