AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Over the years, I have really come to appreciate Thanksgiving. In fact, I would say that it is my favorite holiday of the year.

Of course, like many, I enjoy many Thanksgiving traditions that come with the holiday and I really feel the warmth of my home and spending time with others.

I look forward to gathering around the table to feast and for all of the good things that come out of the oven.

One of my favorite activities is getting the turkey on the smoker early in the day and filling the neighborhood with a wonderful aroma. And my wife’s pecan pie is simply heavenly.

But more than filling my belly with great food – I like to fill my mind with all of the reasons I have to be thankful.
