As if scripted by central casting, Faheem Ausbon scooped up a fumble just 10 seconds into the game and sprinted eight yards into the end zone for an instant Shabazz lead.

It was the third time in four games that the junior linebacker had scored directly off a turnover, and the team’s fifth TD in as many games thanks to someone else’s mistake.

While that scoop-and-score off heavy up-front pressure seemed like classic Shabazz in this remarkable 2025 season, the rest of the game did not exactly go as planned.

"we weren’t clean, man. We got caught in the antics and all he hoopla of this game," first-year Shabazz head coach Nasir Gaines said. “We’re still struggling with some things; trying to figure it all out. Got to be better.”
