BRANSON, Mo. (KY3) — Elevate Branson hosted its 18th annual Thanksgiving Day lunch Thursday.
Hundreds of volunteers signed up to help feed their neighbors and spend time with them, ensuring no one spent the holiday alone. The organization offered the event free to everyone in the community, regardless of economic barriers.
Elevate Branson says the event’s purpose was to bring everyone together for a warm meal.
Community members paid for the event. People could sponsor a meal, a table, or help pay for the transportation for people who needed rides.
Elevate Branson says it had all the volunteers it needed to pull off the event. Any extra volunteers were invited to stay and just enjoy the meal.
