Those inside the kitchen helped remind us all what the holiday was all about.
Donald Ison was one of a few dozen volunteers who chose to start Thanksgiving by helping others.
"God's blessed me," Ison said. "I decided to be a servant and come down here and volunteer and help bless other people with food today."
Before you even entered Our Daily Bread, Ison could be seen and heard through the window, passing out food and serving holiday cheer.
"Oh, it's been a blessing," Ison said. "It's been a blessing just seeing the smiles on people's faces."
