Have a lot of Thanksgiving leftovers after that big family dinner? Before you give any to your pets wagging their tails in anticipation, the Madison County EMA wants you to be extra cautious before sharing them with your four-legged friends.

First off, skip giving them anything with onions, garlic, butter, or chocolate as these can be harmful to your furry friends!

Here's a list of other foods Madison County EMA says are NOT dog-friendly:

Turkey skin/bones

Ham

Raw potatoes

Mashed potatoes

Dressing/stuffing

Canned cranberry

Grapes/raisins

There's still a lot of safe foods you can share though:

Turkey

Sweet potatoes

Green beans

Pumpkin puree

Apple slices

Carrots

Fresh cranberries

Butternut squash

Raw Celery
