FAYETTEVILLE — A top junior college defensive lineman wrapped up an official visit to Arkansas on Wednesday.
Jaylen Thomas, 6-3 and 300 pounds, of Northwest Mississippi Community College arrived in Fayetteville on Tuesday. He recorded 18 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 1/2 sack in 11 games this season as a sophomore.
The Rangers are scheduled to play Hutchinson Community College in the semifinals of the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I National Football playoffs on Dec. 6.
Thomas attended White Station High School in Memphis. He is expected to visit Tennessee this weekend and has also made an unofficial visit to the Volunteers.
Thomas has made official visits to Kansas and West Virginia. He canceled an official visit to Kansas State to visit the Razorbacks.
