Northumbria Police vehicles at a premises on Fossway and inset John Henry Sayers
Five men have admitted arson attacks at the home of John Henry Sayers after a vehicle was driven into his property and set alight. The attacks happened at Sayers' home on the Fossway, in Byker, Newcastle, in January and February this year.
In the first incident, a VW Golf belonging to Sayers and parked outside the address was torched. Then on February 2, a Range Rover was reversed into his premises and set on fire while Sayers and members of his family were inside.
Five men were due to stand trial this week accused of being involved in the arson attacks. Now Grant Royal, John Reid, Mitchell Smith, Grant Curley and Walter Patterson have all entered guilty pleas in relation to the incidents.
