COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - A Columbia church and 200 volunteers are serving up hope and hot meals this Thanksgiving.
The Robert D. Keeder 35th Annual Interfaith Thanksgiving dinner offered food to members of the community who are in need a free hot meal. The Basilica of St. Peter prepared between 400 and 500 meals served fresh at the church from noon to 2 p.m.
The founder of the interfaith Thanksgiving meal, Robert D. Keeder, had one goal: to make an individual difference to every person who walked through the door. Keeder passed away earlier this year, leaving the team of dedicated staff at the church even more determined to host the Thanksgiving meal in his honor.
For Vernon Brown, the fresh hot turkey, stuffing, green beans and mashed potatoes are a promised meal on Thanksgiving, thanks
