LOGAN-ROGERSVILLE, Mo. (KY3) - Many people are enjoying their day off today and celebrating Thanksgiving with their loved ones, but some first responders are working through the holiday to ensure everyone else can stay safe.

At the Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District, firefighters are giving up their Thanksgiving celebrations to respond to any holiday emergencies in their community.

“Business as usual. 911’s still there, and we’ll still respond,” said Assistant Chief Tim Clarkson.

Clarkson said emergencies don’t stop for the holidays, so neither does his team. Around the holidays, he said, they do see some more fires than usual.
