A dramatic twist of fate brought Richard Branson to his wife's hospital bed just hours before she unexpectedly died.

Daily Mail reported that the Virgin founder flew from India to London for medical help after he came off his bike during the charity event Strive Challenge. Once he arrived from his trip to the Taj Mahal, Branson was kept in a room on the same floor as his wife Joan.

This meant that the billionaire was able to see her in her dying moments before she sadly died aged 80. Joan's passing was announced on Tuesday 25 November and
