WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) - The Salvation Army of Waterloo and Cedar Falls hosted more than 200 people from across the Cedar Valley for its annual Thanksgiving event on Thursday.

The event featured a warm meal with staples like turkey and pumpkin pie. It also provided an opportunity for fellowship.

"This is something that we feel is such an honor to do here," Zachary Zumwalt, Salvation Army core officer, said.

The Salvation Army has been hosting the event for over 100 years. Organizers said they look forward to continuing the tradition to provide a home for everyone over the holidays.
