Disney and Pixar have a proven track record of putting out some of the best animated movies in the world!
The two companies combined forces on Toy Story in the 1990s, which was the first ever feature-length film from Pixar, which was founded in 1986.
In the 30 years since, they have released nearly 30 movies, grossing $17 billion worldwide, with five of those alone crossing the $1 billion mark.
Pixar was first named in 1986 when the late Steve Jobs purchased Lucasfilm’s Computer Division from George Lucas and launched it as it’s own independent company. They then started to collaborate with Disney on CAPS, the Computer Animation Production System. The studio began releasing short films from 1986 until 1990.
