Newly released bodycam and dashcam videos show New Jersey police officers dragging an unconscious man out of a burning car soon after it burst into flames along a highway in South Brunswick
Police said officers were alerted to the crash location after cellphones in the driver's car pinged 911
"The driver had both his iPhone and his friend's iPhone, so they got two activations," South Brunswick Police Department Deputy Chief Jim Ryan tells PEOPLE. "So both those phones had detected the rapid deceleration of the car and made notifications to the police."
