LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Two men are in the hospital after a stabbing in the Highview neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.

Officers responded to a call at around 7:30 p.m. of a stabbing in the 8200 block of Pennsylvania Run Road on Thursday, Nov. 27.

At the scene, officers found a man outside the address with a stab wound. Officers began first aid treatment until EMS and Fern Creek Fire arrived and transported the victim to UofL Hospital, where they are expected to recover from their injuries.

Initial investigations revealed that the victim and another adult male who knew each other got into a verbal altercation outside that became physical and escalated to the stabbing.

The second man was also taken to UofL Hospital with minor injuries.
