CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - In the spirit of Thanksgiving, one Cape Girardeau church spent the morning making sure no one went without a holiday meal.

Families were in and out of Christ Episcopal Church Thursday morning, picking up prepared hot meals and packaged goods.

They say Thanksgiving is one of their busiest days, and one of the most meaningful.

The church provided both hot carry-out meals and prepackaged items; Boxes included turkey breast, rolls, mashed potatos, green beans, stuffing, and pumpkin cake.

“It’s really a group effort to make it happen,” said Brooke Hildebrand Clubbs, Hunger Minister.

That effort means more than just stocking shelves.
