LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Some families choose a non-traditional Thanksgiving, skipping the cooking and cleaning altogether, opting instead for a restaurant table where they can simply enjoy the day together.
And while we all know the Cracker Barrels and big chains that stay open, Captain’s Quarters is a locally owned spot that’s been serving Thanksgiving dinner for decades.
They have a buffet-style dinner.
“Looking to feed over 1,000 people today, on top of our yacht, so about 1,200 in total,” said general manager Dan Rees.
Reservations? Booked solid.
“We’re booking up around October, early October for this event,” he said.
And the parking lot has been full for Thanksgiving for decades.
