While the 8,141 fans at Memorial Coliseum filed out of their seats on Thursday night, the voice of legendary Komets announcer Bob Chase rang out one last time.

Forward James Stefan scored the game-winning goal in the Komets’ 3-2 overtime win over the Kalamazoo Wings in the eighth annual Bob Chase Memorial Game.
Stefan had knocked on the door of Kalamazoo goaltender Luke Pavicich throughout the night with 10 shots on net. A pair of passes from defensemen Reece Harsch and Matt Murphy set him up in front of the net with a minute and 51 seconds left in overtime.
