SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) - South Dakota started the season with back to back losses.
Then the team started to click, winning back to back games, and eight of their last 10.
It took some time for the Yotes to put their full potential out on the field.
Travis Johansen, USD football’s head coach said, “Nine new starters on defense, eight on offense and so to get yourself to a point where you got mastery in your systems and the experience behind it, it takes some time. We have four new offensive linemen that started for us. When you’re doing those things you’re going to have some bumps in the road and you’re hoping it doesn’t result in a loss and it did for us. But that didn’t change the aptitude, the ceiling, it’s our jobs as coaches to get them to that ceiling.”
