HOUSTON — Two Houston families had an extra reason to give thanks this year. They each welcomed a Thanksgiving baby at Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women.

Kakki and Matthew welcomed their daughter Adelaide bright and early at 1:49 a.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 11.9 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.

A few hours later, at 8:18 a.m., Joshua and Sharon greeted their son Elias, who arrived weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measuring 20.5 inches.

Hospital staff joked that these families must be feeling “stuffed with love” as they celebrate Thanksgiving with their newest "sweet dumplings."
