KISSIMMEE, Fla. – After a slow start, BYU basketball pulled away to defeat the Miami Hurricanes, 72-62 in the ESPN Events Invitational.

Kennard Davis, in his return, sparked a run for BYU in the second half
BYU was trailing Miami 40-39 with 15:55 remaining in the game until Kennard Davis, who made his return to the lineup after a two-game suspension, buried a corner three-pointer to give the Cougars a two-point lead.
From there, BYU was off to the races.

BYU put together a 13-1 run that spanned 5:35 of game action, and Miami didn’t hit a field goal in that stretch.
