Wetherspoons customers have been left livid over a "sacriligeous" change to its Christmas dinners. The pub chain’s festive range is available until December 31 with some tasty bites and meal deals on offer.

But the chain, which has Birmingham branches, has come under fire for a missing item: roast potatoes. In a scathing review on social media, one seething Chritsmas-lover wrote: “I thought this looked nice when I read the Christmas menu then realised the are serving it with mash instead of roasties, sacrilege!”

Another noted: “No roast potatoes.” While another said: “Needs roast potatoes.” Another customer said: “I was very disappointed with mine the “roast veg” was raw the turkey was obviously processed (lots of it) the stuffing, mash and peas was OK but luke warm.
