Chloe, 25, says they had no idea how expensive being parents would be
A mum of three has welcomed the decision to scrap the two-child benefit cap, saying she has struggled with the costs of parenting. Chloe Crichton, 25, who has three-year-old twin girls and a five-year-old son, says that she and her husband were so stretched financially after becoming parents that they moved in with her mum.
She said she and her partner Ethan now spend more than £200 a month on costs such as uniforms, nappies and family activities - leaving them around £350 a month after their bills are paid.
Chloe said: “Being a parent is wonderful, but the costs can be overwhelming. Switching bills and saving where we can really helps us keep on top of our finances. I had no idea how expensive having a baby would be.
