BRUSSELS (Reuters) -U.S. tech giant Apple told the European Commission its core platform services Apple Ads and Apple Maps meet the thresholds set by the Digital Markets Act, the Commission said in a statement on Friday.
The EU Commission has 45 working days to decide whether to designate Apple as a gatekeeper for any of these services and if designated, Apple will have six months to comply with the act's requirements.
