President Donald Trump’s blatant disrespect for the law was on full display Nov. 20 when, in a post on Truth Social, he called for the execution of Democratic lawmakers who, in a video that is online and available to the public for review, reminded members of the military and the intelligence community that, under American law, they “can refuse illegal orders; you must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or the Constitution.”
