HUNTINGTON — Marshall football coach Tony Gibson took a different approach to film study following a loss to Appalachian State.
“Going back to the game last week, obviously, it’s a game of missed opportunities,” Gibson said on Tuesday. “One thing we did different on Sunday, I made every coach put up two good plays and two bad plays for their position group. I made them get up in front of the group and talk about it.
“What we don’t need is hearing that it’s your fault for fumbling on the last drive, that it’s your fault because you fumbled on the drive before or that it’s your fault for giving up a touchdown on defense – it was a team loss.”
The goal was to bring the Thundering Herd together both in victory and defeat and rally as a unit to fix mistakes team-wide.
“We all have to fix it
