Darrell Clarke in ‘regular contact owners’ and 'excited for Bristol Rovers future' View Image

Darrell Clarke said that he is in regular contact with the Bristol Rovers owners and is “excited for the future” as he looks to end a seven-match losing streak in League Two , when the Gas host Notts County this weekend.

Rovers were unfortunate to lose at Cheltenham Town last weekend , with the hosts scoring with their only shot on target. A defeat for Clarke’s side on Saturday would match the club’s all-time record for consecutive league defeats, which is eight.

They face Notts County, whose six-match unbeaten run in the league was ended against Colchester United last Saturday, as they lost 3-1. The Magpies sit fifth in the table - only two points behind the automatic promotion places.
