A winter storm is forecast to drop several inches of snow across the Chicago area starting Saturday morning.

Black Friday started off with single-digit wind chills, but overall dry.

The National Weather Service upgraded the previous Winter Storm Watch into a Winter Storm Warning , which is set to go into effect for the Chicago area at 3 a.m. Saturday and remain in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday.

ABC7 Accuweather Meteorologist Jaisol Martinez says the first snow is expected to move into the area around 3 a.m. or 4 a.m. Saturday. The heaviest snow forecast to fall during the afternoon and early evening.
