CITY OF NEWBURGH – Bivona’s Simply Pasta on Liberty Street has gained popularity, thanks to its handcrafted pasta and freshly prepared meatballs.
The restaurant’s owner, Chuck Bivona, expects to once again see an uptick in traffic on Small Business Saturday, and he has a special to attract hungry visitors: Four meatballs, a pint of sauce, and a pound of pasta for $20.
“That will feed a family of three,” said Bivona, who recently opened another Italian restaurant, Dina’s Italian Cafeteria, two blocks away in the City of Newburgh. “Small Business Saturday is one of the best days of the year for us as far as foot traffic, and it is great to see visitors exploring the city. Even if they don’t walk into my shop, they get to experience all the other stores that they may not even know existed.”
