PORT ORCHARD — A live theatre in Port Orchard continues to perform and find new ways to connect with the community, despite the challenges it faces since the group was told to leave its longtime location on Bay Street.

The Western Washington Center for the Arts , or WWCA, had called the 521 Bay Street property home for over two decades, from 2002 to 2024. Before that, the group was called First Onstage Productions and performed at First Lutheran Church. In 2021, the Port of Bremerton purchased the 521 Bay St. property, now considered a brownfield site, along with a neighboring building that formerly housed a gas station with underground storage tanks and a sheet metal fabrication business.
