COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The city’s annual Lights On event returned to Stephen C. Beachy Central Park.

On Thursday night, the park kicked off the holiday as families transitioned from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Attendees can drive or walk through the park to enjoy different light designs, and admission is free.

Melissa Janssen said this is her third year attending Lights On with her family. Her favorite part is walking through all the lights and seeing the giant Christmas tree.

“I love that it’s an event that we have that the whole community can come to – it’s free we can enjoy the lights,” Janssen said. “It’s very family-friendly, my daughters, I bring them every year so they can also enjoy all the lights in the park.”
