Tia Mowry is doing what’s real for her, which means she’s letting one Christmas tradition sleigh right by.

The Sister, Sister alum’s kids Cree , 14, and Cairo , 7, will not be sending off long lists to the North Pole, as she revealed in an exclusive E! News interview, “I’m trying to provide my children with more experiences during the holidays.”

While the 47-year-old isn’t forgoing Christmas magic entirely, she’s putting her own spin on gifts.

“My family grew up, we were so fixated on putting gifts up under the tree, which is awesome and great for kids,” Tia—who shares her kids with ex Cory Hardict —explained. “But when there are experiences around tradition, you hold on to those memories longer.”
