Northern parts of the United States are seeing colder temperatures following Thanksgiving after record-breaking heat hit many parts of the South last week.
But the country could be in for shockingly cold weather soon as the polar vortex creeps down from the North Pole and across large swaths of the country.
But for the Deep South, it will likely catch a break.
