Peter Kay has claimed that he rejected Netflix's request to air Phoenix Nights because he did not want a trigger warning slapped on it.
The 52-year-old comedian said the early 2000s sitcom - which saw his alter ego Brian Potter be determined to make The Phoenix Club the best working men's club in Greater Manchester - "is not very politically correct now".
Appearing on the Capital Breakfast radio show on Friday (November 25), he told hosts Jordan North, 35, Chris Stark, 38, and 39 year old Sian Welby: "They got in touch with me last year because they wanted to put Phoenix Nights on Netflix.
