Jacksonville man held on indecency

A Jacksonville man was arrested shortly before noon on Wednesday by police in Jacksonville responding to a disturbance call.

According to an arrest report, Quinlan Tyree Jackson, 27, was arrested after reportedly propositioning a 13-year-old girl. The report said when police arrived to the area near Johnson Park, they saw a Black male on a bicycle sitting alongside a blue car parked nearby.

According to the report, two people inside the car told police that Britt had asked the girl to have sex, at which point the girl went inside her house and told her mother. The parents told police, the report said, that they went outside and followed Britt while calling police.
