The Emporia Arts Council welcomed holiday shoppers Saturday with its annual Art Gifts Open House, transforming the gallery into a festive marketplace of handcrafted work by local artists. Visitors browsed ceramics, wood-turned pieces, jewelry, paintings and a wide selection of unique, one-of-a-kind gifts designed for the season.

Local artists featured in this year’s Art Gifts collection include Andrew Richardson, Sheila Litke, Tracey Graham, Jim Sallenbach, Gary Van Syoc, Kristin Collier, Amanda Fowler, Dawna Mendoza, David Whitson, Gary O’Doniel, Lindsay Smith, Tracy Whipple, Craig Carlson, Zaira Valencia, Hetlinger Creates, Daisy Friedan and Rhonda Denney.
