The Senate will convene Dec. 8.

EVANSVILLE — With redistricting back on the table this session, multiple local state legislators still remain quiet on where they stand.

The Courier & Press reached out to each of the Evansville-area legislators via their statehouse spokesperson to ask them to share their position on redistricting. Only Rep. Alex Burton, D-Evansville, Sen. Jim Tomes, R-Wadesville, and Sen. Vaneta Becker, R-Evansville, offered any comment.

As reported by the IndyStar, House Speaker Todd Huston announced plans to meet on Dec. 1, and Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray said the Senate will convene Dec. 8 to vote on whatever redistricting proposal the House sends them.
