Portage cops say shopper with 3 carts failed to scan half her items

PORTAGE — Despite repeatedly arresting shoppers on allegations of knowingly failing to scan all their merchandise at the self-checkout lanes, others keep trying, including an area woman with three cartloads of items at the local Walmart store, police said.
