LOUISVILLE, Ky. — As many families across Louisville gathered at home to celebrate Thanksgiving, dozens of others spending the holiday at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana (RMHCK) were treated to a warm, traditional meal prepared by volunteers.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana provides temporary housing for families whose children are receiving medical care in Louisville’s downtown medical district. On Thursday, the kitchen and dining area turned into a holiday assembly line as volunteers worked to ensure every family enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving experience.

Chef Omar Romero, who led the effort, said the team wanted to take as much stress off families as possible.
