LONG RAPIDS TWP, MI — State police officials are providing more information about an officer-involved shooting that happened Thursday, Nov. 28, in Alpena County.
A 33-year-old man shot by deputies from the Presque Isle County Sheriff’s Department was listed in stable condition at a hospital as of the publication of this report, state police officials reported.
The incident began near Rogers City in Presque Isle County at about 8:40 a.m. Thursday, when Presque Isle County Sheriff’s Department deputies attempted a traffic stop on a pickup truck driven by the 33-year-old man. The individual was known by law enforcers as “a wanted felon,” state police reported.
