Garrick Merrifield, the star of TLC's "Seeking Sister Wife," was reportedly arrested in Colorado for a domestic violence charge.
Merrifield, the center of a polygamous family chronicled on several seasons of the show, was arrested on charges of misdemeanor domestic violence and obstructing telephone service in Chaffee County, Colorado, according to People and TMZ.
Merrifield has since been released from jail on bond, the outlets said. USA TODAY has reached out to the Chaffee County Sheriff's Office and TLC for comment.
News of Merrifield's arrest directly follows an announcement from him and his wives, Lorrana and Dannielle, that they had welcomed a daughter named Sarah Mae in July. Lorranna, who carried the baby, is a newer wife to the family, while Danielle and Merrifield share three children already.
"Co-parenting as a plural family has been wonderful, to have all the support and be there for each other. It's a blessing to have all of our family involved helping each other," Merrifield told People at the time. "It's definitely allowed us to do different things."
"Lorrana and I have been able to go on trips when Dannielle took the kids, and vice versa Lorrana is taking the kids so Dannielle and I are able to celebrate our anniversary," he continued. "It's been a big blessing to have such a big family with all the love and support and to be there for each other."
