There could be some snow in the Tri-State this weekend. Just not much of it.
The city of Evansville should only receive trace amounts of winter precipitation on Saturday, the National Weather Service said in an update Friday morning. That total could rise as you move closer to Interstate 64.
But we could experience another shot at snow next week – along with a stretch of cold temperatures.
When will the snow start in Evansville?
According to the NWS, light snow will start as early as 5 a.m. Saturday in Evansville.
"Precipitation will change over (to) rain by late morning and remain rain throughout the remainder of the day," the bulletin reads. "Brief travel impacts are possible with slippery/slushy road conditions Saturday morning. Afternoon rain and warming temperatures will clear up
