Green Bay's post-Thanksgiving travelers will have to contend with a double whammy of winter weather going into the weekend.
First, a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service Green Bay , then some of the season's coldest weather immediately after.
A low pressure system making its way over Chicago and Michigan into the weekend will drop heavy snow over the region, said Roy Uckberg, meteorologist at the National Weather Service Green Bay. Paired with wind coming off Lake Michigan, the storm could blanket a swath from Door County through the Fox Valley with upwards of nine inches of precipitation starting Nov. 29, according to the winter storm warning .
